This, I think is the base model food processor for Hamilton Beach...I bought it because it was the only choice and I was in a hurry It does ok but has some drawbacks. I received this food processor as a birthday present about 1 1/2 years ago. It has it's faults, but people need to realize that in buying Hamilton Beach, they are not buying a... Got this because I believed all of the good reviews. This thing worked for maybe ten times at a regular load of food-mostly veggies-and then refused to work. This processor works fine for small jobs. I like making banana "ice cream" (fozen bananas puree)...I bought it about 2 years ago and it still works great. It is safe, wicked fast and powerful. We bought this unit from a small local store that is known for selling only quality merchandise. We took it out of the box, assembled it following the directions -- and the blade... If you are going to pay less than $50 for a food processor, you have to be prepared for a few negatives to go with the positives.
