During the first use, not trying any difficult foods, and not overloading it, the motor started to give the "burning out" odor, and it will simply seize if anything but liquids/semi-liquids are attempted. It is just too weak of a motor. The rest of the unit is OK. I realize this is a budget model of blender, but do yourself a favor and spend a little more if you can, to buy a 700watt or so, well-rated robust blender.

They are actually only about $10 more, will last many years, and you will thank yourself (and me for telling you.)
