I have had mine nearly two years and it makes perfect smoothies, sauces, and purees plus is...After the third clutch assembly broke ($41.58ea + shipping), I'm throwing in the towel. I saw a peak noise level of 93dB and steady 89dB reading. It's decent enough... definitely not a vitamix. I use it for green smoothies. While it works, I will be upgrading. I've had this blender for about 2 years. It's had minimal use at home and now doesn't even blend strawberries. I doubt this is a commercial use blender. I bought this on 1-3-2011. It died on 2-28-2011. It was simply required to do one protein shake a day 5 days a week.

I would highly recommend it. If you need a blender purchase this one We use this blender to make frozen smoothies. Other blenders I've used in the past (even large expensive units) tend to have a hard time blending frozen items. My other blender would take about 30-60 seconds to blend frozen smoothies and that included a lot of stirring/shaking of the unit between blending. This blender seems to create a cyclone in the unit that sucks everything down into the blades perfectly. It blends frozen smoothies with perfect consistency in about 6-8 seconds.
It takes a little longer if the blender is not full, about 8-12 seconds. Ive only had one minor problem with it, and that is that the jar itself has gotten stuck to the base twice so far. It seems the plastic molded together a bit, not sure how but it wasn't much of an issue. It hasn't done it since. Overall a GREAT blender. I'm getting ready to buy a second top for it because the demand for smoothies is so intense. This worked well for about a year. One day it just started leaking from the bottom and never stopped. I make 2 drinks max per day with this. The NuBlend is an ok blender for light duty use. It is well built my only concern is the motor will over heat and shut off right in the middle of a task. But at least it has an over heat shut off. This item was purchased for the purpose of doing some smoothies and Frappes. It's crushing ability did not live up to what its description was when I ordered it. It does not seem to have the proper blade set up or power for this purpose. Also the quality of finishing on the plastic base to the mixing jar was terrible, with sharp edges and poorly finished.This is a top-rated blender. Try thawing your frozen fruit slightly before blending, and making sure there is enough liquid for smoother operation. Very affordable yet makes great drinks and is really sturdy. I can't tell you how many blenders we have been through prior to finding this brand.
It is a really good deal and made well. This blender will do the job any basic bar will require. Has great power and capacity. The only negative thing I would say would be it is a little too noisey.Good for making mixed drinks as well as food preparation!! Excellent for blending up your favorite creamy soup!! Easy to take apart and clean! This blender is reasonably priced and makes great smoothies. I do not make more than one smoothies at a time, because it stresses the blender. A decent blender for the price but not as good at crushing ice as more expensive models that we have used. It is easy to clean.Tried it today for the first time and we have never seen anything blend products used as this machine. Makes the best Drinks and crushed ice around. I like this all purpose blender. It's quick and easy to use, very easy to clean and just the right price. I recommend it to everyone. I have been looking for a blender that would be able to crush ice and boy I was very pleased with this blender.
