The six point blade makes easy work of everything I have thrown at it. We use it daily for smoothies made with frozen fruit. I also have pureed a creamy butternut squash soup with this blender yielding wonderful results. It was purchased to replace a Oster bought in 2009 that had a badly cracked bottom cap. I was told by Oster Customer Service that parts were no longer carried for my old blender and a new one needed to be bought. I am pleasantly surprised to find that ALL pieces (except the lid) will easily interchange from the new Oster to my old one! Wish I had known that a new $5 part would've fixed my old blender, but, no matter---I am very pleased to have the new higher power in my arsenal. The only other annoyance I have is that the entire control panel is in the Spanish language. I think it's wonderful they have this option, however, nothing on Walmart's site mentioned it would come with a Spanish control panel.

I find it amusing. Now that I'm accustomed to which buttons do what, there's no need to read the control panel! lol So far, it's a fantastic product, and well worth its price tag. As we continued to make various smoothies, we also noticed that each time we used it they came out the same. The pre-programmed settings made sure that they came out perfect each time. My husband believes that the blenders excellent performance is due to the reversing blades, making sure that the food and ice are drawn down to the blades. There are only three speeds in the manual mode but we discovered that isn't a problem at all. The blenders are fast, reliable and sturdy. Noise is only a problem when all three run at the same time! Be sure to add liquid, fruit or mix, then ice, in that order, and you'll always have a perfect drink. Ice crushing is superb. The pre-programmed buttons make them easy for anyone to use and clean up is a breeze due to the control panel's flat profile. Some other blenders are priced lower but we think the price is worth it. Works great for my morning smoothies This blender was a dream for the first few uses, excepting that it's rather deafening. But then we had a power outage and maybe a surge and then when we plugged the blender in... I bought this unit to replace another Oster blender that I inherited from relatives that dated from the 1970's and still ran without a problem until the blades became dull and the... My first Oster blender lasted about 20 years. The next one only lasted about 3 years, but - that's just how stuff is now. I love this blender so far! The glass is great, motor is powerful and makes perfect smoothies with the pre programmed frozen drink setting. Very happy and will recommend to others. I make smoothie with it almost everyday. It works very well, as it described . Wife loved it for her Xmas Gift it is a wonderful blender. my friend tried use it as a mixer but that didn't work so well. but as a blender, it is terrific. Works great for the price but I miss the vitamix plunger that comes with theirs.
