The jar is good, thick glassware. The base fits well and the gasket is good quality material and provides a good seal. Most importantly, the drive shaft from the base to the blades is metal to metal, not plastic like a lot of blenders in this price range. The top fits solidly without any sign of leaking. The switches feel inexpensive but are easy to operate. The label on the front is an inexpensive stick on and may lift off over time. The speed range is good. I bought this to have a good low speed range and I'm happy with this. I have not tried anything that would require high power so I can't comment on that. I would highly recommend this blender unless you need to do some serious chopping.
It may work for this application but I don't have any experience to make a recommendation. No chunks at the end like a more expensive one I had before. I love the glass jar! So easy to clean too!! It's worth every penny!!!! No bpa, glass jar. The lower portion of the jar along with the blade can be dismantled for easy cleaning. I would recommend this since its a good buy at this price.breville bbl 600 blender fiyat Yes (6) No (0)  Report Yes (6) No (0) Verified purchaser I replaced a very expensive, hard to assemble, hard to clean contraption with this magnificent blender. kitchenaid immersion blender khb300whI have always found Oster appliances to excel and this is no exception. hamilton beach blender 58615 reviewsI use it every morning to make my smoothie. omega bl390 blender 1hp commercial review
It easily crushes the ice and makes a delicious smoothie - effortless! So I tightened it back on and the next time i went to use it I heard some really awful grinding noise. I happened to look underneath where the fan vent was and noticed 2 screws loose and knocking around...being the reason for the noise.
So I unscrewed it so I could put the 2 screws back in place and seen the 2 spots for the screws. The screws did not stay in place and fell back out...making the fan loose. So I decided to just leave the screws out (because I didn't have any others to fit at the time) and try to mix with it. Well it barely even blended, much less chop ice. Back to Walmart this one goes. Yes () No ()  Report Yes () No () I was in search of a good blender in USA that could withstand my Indian use. I'm a South Indian so grinding coconut, chutney, dosa batter are my everyday haul , I wasn't sure which US blender could do this. I spoke to many Indian ladies, surfed all over the Internet and finally settled down for this. Trust me this is such a bliss. It just fulfills all my daily needs. Very easy to clean and maintain. The 6 up glass jar is perfect to grind even small quantity. I'm very happy with the purchase. If you are looking for a blender just go for it. makes amazing smoothies and ice is not a challenge for this blender! Yes () No (3)  Report Yes () No (3) As a chef, I use professional grade blenders at work which have three settings: off, low and high. I was hesitant to buy a home blender with 14 buttons for fear of just having more to break. I've been using this blender for a couple of weeks now making everything from smoothies to Caesar dressing and its works great! I love the heavy glass jar. The entire assembly feels strong and solid. For the money, this is a very good home blender that should prove versatile and should last a long time with minimal fuss. Now, if someone would just invent a blender that you couldn't turn on unless the lid was on they could sell billions of the things! Yes (8) No (1)  Report Yes (8) No (1) Verified purchaser Verified purchaser My harvest gold and avocado green Oster Kitchen Center is over 40 years old. It has been a wonderful, versatile appliance (2 mixing bowls, 2 bread and 2 regular beaters, meat grinder, juicer, and blender), with a powerful motor, that continues to function perfectly. Naturally due to age, the rubber seal beneath the blender wore out. I recently tried to make smoothies, and liquid began to leak from the bottom of the blender. I seriously considered investing in a new, up-to-date blender for the purpose and sadly taking the entire Kitchen Center unit to Goodwill. Hubby felt he could find replacement parts. We ordered them from Walmart in the morning (in a small town) and the parts were ready for pickup that afternoon! The repair clearly fixed the problem and I now have a brand new appliance! I love having fresh, new, sharp blades. I did not really need the new round lid, as my blender is an old square shape.
The kit contains two rubber seals, so have a spare "tucked away" to be used in the future.....(if I need it and can remember where I put it!!) Yes (9) No (1)  Report Yes (9) No (1) Verified purchaser I called the 800 number for a replacement part. The Customer Service Representative was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Oster really does care about their customers first! After this experience, I can honestly say that I will tell all of my friends how Great Oster. I will always choose Oster when making a kitchen appliance purchase because I know that if I need to contact customer support, they are really sincere. Ordering parts is simple. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this set of parts is a bargain but I was only wanting to find the gasket seals. I don't like to have spare parts sitting around until I need them which hopefully will be a long time. For anyone else looking for just the gaskets, I found a set of 3 Oster seals available online at CulinaryParts for only $2.36 including shipping!
Yes () No (1)  Report Yes () No (1) The Oster blender we purchased barely one year ago has a 600 W motor with Pre Programmable settings. We felt it was worth the $10 to purchase all the parts in the kit even though we needed only the bottom plastic piece. This piece actually cracked months ago but we kept trying to work with it and finally gave up when the crack widened. We use this blender almost daily now as we make fresh smoothies every morning. Yes () No (3)  Report Yes () No (3) Despite discouraging e-mail from Margarita, Jarden Consumer Solutions to the contrary, I took a chance on ordering this kit. The bottom cap, sealing rings and, most importantly, the stainless steel blades FIT the 5-cup-glass-jar of my wife's Oster® Blender Model 248 Series A -- Vintage circa 1960. The top in this kit fits an 8-cup plastic jar, I think. The bearing of the old blade assembly seized up a few years ago. Been using a cheap, plastic substitute. Now, if they will only just re-stock the replacement 5-cup glass jar 014709-156-000.html The original is a bit chipped around the bottom.
Plastic bottom cap and new sealing ring fits nicely. But the original jar is etched -- looks like beach glass -- from literally 50 years in a dishwasher. Motor is still strong as an ox! Now, if I only still had my grandmother's jet-engine-looking Electrolux from the same era! Verified purchaser I needed to replace the blades and rubber rings on my Osterizer several months ago, but the Oster Brand Replacement Kit was not available anywhere. So I ordered an off-brand kit, and it was terrible. With that kit, my blender was somehow spitting out oil and I couldn't figure out how. After just a few uses, I threw out those off-brand parts, and put the old ones back in. Then after a few months, the Osterizer kit showed up on my facebook feed, so I ordered it right away. The replacement cover and black base in the kit don't fit my blender, but the parts I really needed (blades and ring) were a fit, and my old Osterizer is working perfectly. Saved having to buy a new blender. Yes (0) No (0)  Report Yes (0) No (0) Verified purchaser Verified purchaser This is exactly what I was looking for.
