It doesn't have all the extras which she didn't want anyway, just the base and two cups. Because of the price, I got one for myself as well. I made fruit protein shakes in my blender daily for my husband and I and of course had to wash all the "parts" afterwards. With the Ninja, I blend and go - no clean up! I prepare his and he blends it when he is ready to drink it now as opposed to having to shake it up to reblend it from sitting. He absolutely loves it! And my mother has been making her juice everyday since I gave it to her, she said it's so easy with no clean up. Juicers have many parts to wash and the Ninja has only the cup and blade. We can't believe how much simpler our mornings are now!

I made my first green smoothie this morning right before I had to leave to work which consisted of spinach, frozen strawberries, frozen peaches, lemon, and ice cubes, and this blender whipped it up to a beautiful smooth consistency in no time at all! I was speechless to say the least. All I did to "clean up" was rinse the cap that had the blade and store it away. The motor on the blender can be a bit loud, but I don't really mind it because I'm not using it for more than a minute or two at a time. If you are on the fence about what blender to buy for smoothie making, I cannot recommend this one enough! It has 600W (and so does the Nutribullet which retails for $100 at most stores.) It is so easy to clean the blades with just soapy water and the cups are easy to clean too, but of course I have small hands. I hope they will sell some individual cups so we can have more cups handy for the kids.
