My margaritas turned out very smooth. Our son (12 yrs old) uses this a couple times a day to make smoothie's. He is even making them for his sister and her friends. This was a wonderful purchase. Yo can mix whatever your heart desires and have a nice drink at any time.. the only knock on this is that too many people ask for a drink at house parties and I have to keep making them..

This is a super smooth ice consistency. I worried it would be grainy, but this is really nice. I put too much ice in the first go round, it really takes very little ice per drink. I didn't see an ice amount recommendation, perhaps I missed that. Too much ice will keep all the ingredients from mixing throughly. My mother commented she thought it looked very pretty on the counter. If it lasts I will really be happy. After owning the Margaritaville frozen concoction maker for a few years and getting all of the positive comments from friends I decided to purchase one for a good friend and buddy. This is an awesome device for margaritas, or frozen drinks in general. I love it also for making wonderful morning smoothies. A great addition for the kitchen. I give it 5 stars. I bought this for my sister for a housewarming present for her new house in FL. On our visit with them, they made us frozen lemonades. I was on the fence about ordering one for myself......don't hesitate. As my brother-in-law said....you can make any drink in the pitcher and just add the ice to make it a slushy!
