This blender was used to make smoothies!Though my troubles aren't over yet - I called 3rd party; who is Webstaurant Store and have been back and forth with telephone calls not getting anywhere for the past 5 days. So far, I've been told I will need to take it to one of "their" service locations (which are at least 30 miles away from my home). I don't feel I need to take it for repair -- I just want to ship it back and let the company do theThis is NOT good customer service practice!!!!!All I want is to return this product and get a full refund. I am not happy and shouldn't have to jump thru hoops because of a manufacturer defective product. Why does the customer always suffer?

Looks like real glass but its really durable PLASTIC, which makes it unbreakable incase if it falls, yet light weight for easy pouring. We've had this blender for about 20 years and it has held up beautifully and looks brand new. We use it daily now; for many years I only used it once in a while for margaritas,... had it for 12 smoothies, not ice but frozen bananas. I'm worried about reviews I read, but so far so good I know this blender looks old school but it totally outperforms any other blender I've purchased that is built in this style of having a single, bottom blade. This blender is not a professional blender but for me is good. I blend every morning for my smoothies and it makes a good job...just put enough liquid with your frozen fruits. The handle however is not very durable and ours cracked pretty quickly other than that it was a great product. perfect immersion blender for sauces up to gallons. This product is awesome. Great savings compared to other brands! Powerful motor makes pureeing a simple task. Will never go back to regular blender again. It's great for creating "foams" as well! I used it for the first time today and it worked great. the shipping was fast and you don't need to shop around for the best price because the Webstaurant has it!I read the reviews and anticipated a powerful machine but it exceeded my expectations. very happy with it and highly recommend if you do large volumes of soups for catering and large parties. Waring makes quality products and this is no exception, this immersion blender is packed with power and extremely durable not to mention sleek and visually appealing. Good balance of power and value. This blender is strong enough and large enough to get the job done, but not so big (or expensive) to make it too pricey. We saved so much money purchasing this brand over the more expensive brand and it does everything you need. We use it for pureeing soups and sauces. Long cord is a bonus! This stick blender is larger than the typical hand blenders but it is extremely powerful! I love making sauces with this blender! Great for blending in the pot!! This immersion blender works great for small jobs. Perfect for mixing salad dressings and blending small batches of soup. You can even use it to mix up batters and sauces. Great price and power. Works very well for emulsifing salad dressings. Unit has more than enough power to mix 5 galons at a time. Best price I found on the internet. Great blender plenty of power low speed does everything I have needed. Although the buttons are a little awkward the 10" shaft works well with small to medium stock pots. This worked well the first three months of use but always, always died on us. We have had to replace it twice. This time, we are going with the WSB50.

Purchased for home use as I was tired of the smaller stick blenders burning out. While larger than the home models, it is the perfect size for a deep stock pot and quite manageable. The Waring WSB40 is an incredibly sturdy blender. It is powerful enough to quickly blend a large pot of soup with ease. I had to replace my old blender as it burned out from constant use. This is the best blender on the market - we use it at least 3-4 hours a day 360 days a year.What a fantastic tool. Very powerful and gets the job done. Great for those large stock pots full of soups and sauces.
