She used it about 20 times and the mixer turns on high no matter what speed you put it at. Kitchen aid series 6- 525qt mixer is a piece of crap. I used the unit 5 times over 3 years and its planetary assembly is shot. The tramsmission in these units have proven faulty.After a few years of use the orbit gear went bad, but it was replaced and it works like a new machine. Very powerful, but not as powerful as my 7 quart machine. This was a gift for a good friend who is an excellent trained chef. She was delighted with it. I bought this for my mom for Christmas and she has nothing but good reviews for it.
