I already own a nine speed KitchenAid which is excellent so I guess I was expecting too much. While this looks nice, and have liked previous Kitchen Aid appliances, this one is poorly made. The "high" setting is little better than "medium", and not strong... Really wanted to like this mixer...I usually use my Kitchen Aid stand mixer (which I love) but when I bake with the kids I wanted a mixer that would be easy for them to watch the... I bought this for my Mom for Christmas. I had to give it to her early so she can prepare Christmas dinner! She loves it and the color matches her kitchen perfectly. Did not work right out of the box. I don't think it's powerful enough for dough.Used only once so far to make whipped shortbread. Beaters are easy to clean but they slip through the holes in my cutlery rack so have to put them in...
