Home / Household Tips / Kitchen Tips / 22 KitchenAid Stand Mixer Tips & Troubleshooting Help  78 Comments    Print     EmailI love my KitchenAid and although I haven’t had any problems with it yet (knock on wood), I decided to put together a page full of tips and tricks that I’ve bookmarked from around the web so I have them on hand “just in case”.So far there are basic maintenance solutions and fixes but I’ve also found a few neat ideas to try (such as shredding chicken, pulled pork, making homemade butter, etc.).If you’re a lucky duck who has an old workhorse mixer that just won’t quit (pre-1986) and it’s getting a bit beat up, you’ll find a tutorial for how to take it apart and repaint it so it looks shiny new again. Is there a goody I missed? Please feel free to share your experience in the comments section below. I’ll be adding more helpful ideas to this page as I find them so you may want to bookmark it for reference.PS: Don’t miss the appliance cover tutorials I have listed on this page, these will help keep the machine dust-free.

This is a refurbished blender but seems like new in appearance and otherwise. It is a little loud on high power, but not a surprise. Has a very nice ice chopping feature, great size pitcher. I really like the pitcher design and the easy clean design of the control buttons.
I have read that some people in the past had problems with the pitcher leaking and so far that has not been an issue (this may have been redesigned-maybe that's my refurb?), works just fine. I own a KitchenAid food processor that I love and I found this item very well reviewed (except for the leaking pitcher issue). Shipping etc. very satisfactory from the vendor. Very glad to have a new higher powered, larger capacity blender- capable of so much more than my very old $35 blender. Read full reviewby A beautiful & powerful blender.....highest recommendations!!!!I bought this blender because I needed a powerful blender to make my green smoothies. I thought I wanted to buy a Blendtec or VitaMix blender, so I could not justify the price of either one of those. I decided to try the KitchenAid after reading many reviews. It is powerful and does a great job of blending my smoothies. I am absolutely thrilled with this blender and would highly recommend it. The other thing that I am pleased with is the fact that I could have a blender that is not so large that I could fit it on my counter in a beautiful color that matches my kitchen.by Wonderful blender and a great value for the moneyI wanted to make smoothies so I bought this powerful one.
