Excellent mixer, everything is more fluffy since I have this mixer. Haven't tried the hook, but I bet is amazing. Bought this for my mother as a gift. Her old Kitchen Aid was bought in the 70s and on it's way out. She loves this model! Quieter than expected with more than enough power. My only complaint is that you can't get a stainless steel beater or dough hook for it, but I knew that before I bought it.
