Called Cuisinart but they were no help in replacing . Bought this blender for smoothies and am not happy with it. It has never been good at cycling the ice to the bottom. Have to open it and mix fruit for smoothies myself. I hate buying blenders because it is hard to find a good one. Here is the reason I love this one:Large Glass Container with VERY clear markers. After using several different high-priced blenders, this is the absolutely best blender we have ever bought! Owned this just over a year before the gear teeth on the bottom of the blade assembly stripped out. The kind people at Cuisinart are willing to sell me another for $30 + shipping. I wanted to love this blender, and even defended it against the Vitamix.
