I purchased this to replace my higher model cuisinart whose motor died. I agree with other reviewers that it needs a lower setting for more delicate mixing... I do not recommend this mixer. The slow speed is much too powerful. I only had it a short time when the beaters locked together, bending one. I ordered a new set of beaters.I had the six speed and it worked like a champ for over 10 years but finally died. We only had this 1 year, 6 months of this we were gone, so we only used it maybe 20 times at the most and the motor burned out. I really like this Hand Mixer.
