After spending over $400.00 on this blender, and having bits of black rubber from the jar break off into my smoothie I am now using a $20. This thing is a beast. Don't go for cheapos such as Ninja if you want to really enjoy your smithies instead of chocking on small sharp pieces of hard fruits and vegetables.
I have never seen such a machine. After 6 months of usage I started noticing little pieces of black matter floating inside my smoothie. Purchased the Blender with the Wildside Jar January 2015, excellent blending, 2 smoothies each morning, no problems, until now. The Jar base has cracked and will not blend. We've had our blender for a year, which it worked great. However, we will now have to go back to our VitaMix or Ninja. don't put a two by four in yours, it does work great and fast,just put your frozen stuff in last,or let it flaw for a little time.
