Many reviewers point out that this will not make superfinely ground frozen drinks, and they are correct. It will break up ice, though for best results you really want to prepare the battlefield. By that I mean that if you are trying to ground ice cubes such as you make in your freezer, well, you'll be disappointed. Instead of messing around with pure sine wave inverters hooked up to monster batteries that will do anything, you could go for what I call a 90% solution....this blender will handle about 90% of whatever most people expect to blend.
