Whilst it is a powerfiul blender the plastic container looks quite bad after a few years and it is obvious that I have been havinfg some... I bought this as a gift.as i now find they dropped support for the older ones will never buy another for that reason,as time passes this one I assume will not be... We absolutely love Vitamix, we used our friend's older version for 9 months and used it for many different things. For the past five years, I've used an older model Vitamix. I upgraded to this one. I have to admit, this thing is a work horse. And it is powerful. Received it on Dec 9th, 2014 Have used it couple time. Super strong blender ! Everything (even frozen fruit) becomes so smooth after High mode for 40 sec. Works great so far. Came it the alotted time specified when ordered.
