I recently decided to purchase the grain container, just because I want to compare side-by-side as a reviewer.I've been making artisan breads with a brotform...2 Pcs Masterproofing Round Banneton Basket, and put white rice in the dry container to make rice flour. Rice flour is best to avoid sticking and creating a crunchy crust, and no way will I buy 5 pounds when I only need a tablespoon.I did a video of the brotform/banneton basket, just click the Amazon link if you'd like to see it. Hope you find it helpful!Anyway, the dry container was faster than the wet container, but ultimately similar results.In my most humble opinion, if you make the occasional loaf with grinding your own flours, either will do. If you are a big time baker cranking out loaf after loaf for family and friends, the grain (dry) container is a nice investment.I just don't have the time now, but will do a video side-by-side soon. Even got a new camera for Christmas! Besides grinding grains, this container does an excellent job as a coffee grinder!

It was a gift for our daughter-in-law and she is VERY PLEASED with it. It does the job and then some. As described and on time. Vitamix quality is great.But all the other Vitamix items have been good quality. Never disappointed with Vitamix products.There are four blades, two that angle upward, and two that are straight across. This blender is much quieter than my Ninja blender. Not only is it less harming to my ears, but it also blends my smoothies thinner. You will never use it. It does not do as advertised. We tried to make powder out of grains we tried to make peanut butter with it... and other things. Does not work as advertised!
