– The same Low Profile, wide-bottomed, wet, 64 oz. container that was introduced with the Vitamix Pro 750 and the other Next Generation models (Vitamix 7500, Pro 300, and Creations Elite) comes with a 6500 model. It is very important to add a narrow bottomed Vitamix Container to your order if you choose any model that comes with the Low Profile, wide-bottomed, wet, 64 oz. container for the reasons listed here: Vitamix Containers Explained (be SURE to read the comments to that blog article). Contact me if you have any model that came with a wide bottomed container, but you don’t have a narrow bottomed wet container to go with it! – The motor housings only affect the “look” of the machine. The Standard is an older design, and the Next Generation is a newer, sleeker design with a more modern “look”. – The standard motor in a 6500 model is stronger than the motor in an older Standard model, but Vitamix still considers this to be a Standard Motor because it does not have the 40% quieter, suspended motor design of the Next Generation models.

– The 6500 comes with 3 programmed settings (“smoothies”, “frozen desserts”, and “hot soups”). The Pro 750 comes with 5 programmed settings (the two additional settings are “clean”, and “puree”). The settings on a 6500 are marked by words. The settings on a Pro 750 are marked by picture symbols. Contact me to ask for my form letter to learn what I think of the models with programmed settings. – See how the Vitamix 6500 compares to the 6300 (the previous model sold by Vitamix Demonstrators in Costco Road shows). The Vitamix Co. offered the first commercial to consumers in the United States in 1949 when the founder demonstrated how the Vitamix blender created healthier food options for families. The Vitamix does more than make a great smoothie and is certainly more than just a blender. Owners must understand how versatile the Vitamix is and use it to its full potential to reap the health benefits the device offers. Proper layering of ingredients is important to get the best blend from a Vitamix. Here is the proper order from bottom to top: Add water or broth to lift ingredients off the Vitamix blades and to allow them to blend more evenly without clogging or clumping. The Vitamix blender has efficient cutting blades.

Most users prefer fresh seasonings when moving to a whole-food diet and must understand that essential oils from the seasonings disperse more widely through the mixing stage. The same holds true for items like onions and garlic. People should use seasonings sparingly to start, and add more to taste to avoid ruining a whole batch. Some Vitamix machines have a "Clean" setting that works like the settings on a dishwasher. Users should rinse the container after use, add dish soap sparingly to warm water, lock the lid, and select the "Clean" setting. The machine turns off when the cycle is complete. For Vitamix machines without a built-in cleaning program, owners must rinse the container, add dish soap sparingly to warm water, and run the machine through its variable settings. The container is clean once users pour out the contents and rinse and air-dry it. Minerals and deposits leave a film on the Vitamix container that a vinegar rinse removes. Most Vitamix containers are not dishwasher safe.

As a precision kitchen tool, the Vitamix comes with its own safety features. Occasionally the machine stops working in the middle of a job to prevent overheating; the thermal protector causes the machine to stop when there is danger of overheating. People should use the tamper tool to push ingredients down and into the blades to prevent them from spinning and not cutting. The tamper tool also helps accelerate the process of blending thick or frozen items. The tamper stops air pockets from developing in the mixture. Owners must use the Vitamix owner's manual to ensure proper blending speed and quantity of ingredients to prevent damage to the machine. Overheating is a minor inconvenience, but other problems could arise if users do not use the Vitamix correctly. A grinding sound from the blender indicates the possibility of a worn blade bearing assembly, which requires troubleshooting and possible repair. Overuse of the Vitamix causes curing of the motor, during which the motor gives off a burning smell that should quickly disappear.

The Vitamix motor emits a burning smell when it overheats. Vitamix currently offers three blender series in addition to reconditioned blenders and blender containers. Each series of blender offers a different variety of capabilities. Older model Vitamix blenders, like the 3600 Plus, are also available to shoppers. Identified as the S-Series S30 model includes a 20- and a 40-ounce container and interchangeable blade base Identified as the C-Series Multiple models available (5200 Standard, Super, Deluxe, and Compact; 500; 200 and 200 Compact; CIA Professional and CIA Compact; TurboBlend VS and Two-Speed; Creations II, GC, and Compact; 6000) Multiple container sizes Identified as the G-Series Multiple models available (Professional 750 and 300; 7500; Creations Elite) Multiple container sizes Some Vitamix models come with recipes and extra containers, online recipe support, and more. However, each machine blends the same type of produce and foods, so owners should base purchase decisions on the quantity of product they want to blend at one time.
