I know that the Vitamix S30 is not as powerful as Vitamix C- or G-series. However, I think there are some benefits that the S30 has which were crucial for me:Benefit... I did not get this vitamix off amazon but I did get it as a gift. I do smoothies as part of my "diet" and I use a lot of frozen fruits. Took me a while to decide which blender to buy. Nice to have a blender that can blend ice, my old blender couldn't do that! I was worried about purchasing this as I've had a full size vitamix in the past which was great but I generally don't fill it up.
