I have been using the blender on my Bosch Universal Mixer for years. I thought it was powerful. Boy, was I wrong. It's like the difference between a moped and a Harley.I thought about the Blend-Tec. My kids showed me all the funny videos, but honestly, I do not need to blend my iPad. I wanted a blender from a company that has been making the same product for a long time (85 years!) I also wanted the 7 year unconditional guarantee. I have known about the Vitamix all my life. Additionally, I have a K-tec grain mill and it is so loud I have to wear ear protection. I did not want to take that chance with the Blend-Tec. I know a lot of people swear by them but I went with the older, more established company.I am 100 percent satisfied with this wonderful powerhouse blender. I use it 2-3 times per day. No, it does not fit under my kitchen cabinets when assembled but that was not an issue for me. I store the motor and the jar side-by-side. It is easy to clean, easy to use, does not make too much noise and does exactly what it is supposed to do in a very short time.
I like the tamper/accelerator. It is not a hassle to use and makes sense - when you're blending something thick, chunks sometimes float on top. Hello, I'm still new into my vitamix 200. It is supposed to replace my nutribullet 900 for something that will go alittle better at liquefying green drinks, I can't stand thick... I held off for a few years ...finally found a great deal (375.00) this thing can do it all.... Smoothies (btw replace yougurt with cottage cheese) soups & much more... Bought this from Best Buy with insurance protection after repeatedly exchanging nutribullet for its insufficieny !! God I was wasting my time using nutribullet !! There's a reason why Vitamix is such a popular brand with consistently great reviews. This this is heavy-duty and blends through anything with ease. Item is as described. It is very difficult getting the sauces, salsas, soups etc out of the jar. Everything else is A-1 Not sure how people are giving this thing 5 star reviews.
