I've had this blender for 13 years with pretty heavy use and housemates and it's still making us smoothies! Looks great, seems to be well made, does a good job of making milkshakes. Runs very noisy, however, and there was a smell of lubricant the first few times we used it.Bought it again as a gift. I have the previous incarnation of this blender and it's still going strong after 10 yrs. I start the blending process on the lower "pulse" speed to minimize the contents flying all over the interior, and after a second or two I turn it up to the other speed for 10-15 seconds -- I might stand back or cover my ears --and breakfast is ready.Another thing I like about this blender in comparison with the KitchenAid -- the accessories. I sometimes use the Blend-N-go Cup Oster 6848-000-950 Blend-N-Go Cup -- mainly if I forgot to wash the travel mug I usually use.
