I mostly use it for making protein shakes (aka smoothies). Very nicely made, sturdy and strong. Great product for price I paid. I had purchased this item at Kohl's for our cabin and was very satisfied. However, the online version is a disappointment. It is cheaply made--its plastic not stainless steel. After 10 years my Healthmaster blender stopped working. I needed a new blender right away for my daily green smoothies and didn't want to spend a enormous amount, so my mom picked... So far this blender has been flawless. I did not use the blender till after a month of receiving and was too late to return. It IS NOISY and does not work for making my smoothie drinks. So far I love it! Only concern the base is plastic. I really like the blender, but for some reason it tend to occasionally unscrew the bottom just enough to let liquid leak out.

If I tighten the bottom more it breaks. A little loud, but a great blender.
