Cost effective repair for old blender I recently bought an Oster blender, at a garage sale, that although old (late 1950s or early 1960s) was priced at $1 and was in great shape. The o-ring within the blade mechanism was worn and there was a very slow leak. Optimistic I searched the internet and found this item which fit and works perfectly. For under $10 total I have a blender that is much better than the units you can purchase today unless you buy a high end unit (Even then you still may not get a quality unit. My son bought an expensive Waring blender and has had a number of problems with it.).After 30+ years and lots of blender abuse from children as well as adults, the metal spikes had been pretty well stripped on my original Oster blender blade device. If I remember correctly there wasn't a word of English on the packaging, but it's a pretty basic device so no biggie. Works great so far. If it lasts as long as the original I'll be happy as a clam, even if I am in my grave.

It's the only blender I know of that still uses metal from the blender to metal for the blades. WAY better than more expensive brands with metal to plastic connections - or worse, plastic to plastic. Delivery was timely, packaged well... yada yada. This item, as sold by Bravo Appliances is, as claimed, a genuine Oster replacement part. For use with vintage Oster products, it is a must have for continued use of products that were made to last and last, with proper, careful use of course. I love vintage Osterizers and Oster KItchen Centers. So why buy aftermarket products that may not live up to the Oster reputation over many decades? Made a big difference It is amazing how much of a difference this new blade made for our Oster blender, it gave new life to our old blender. The price is excellent too. I will not hesitate to purchase this blade again in the future. Gave new life to an older blender I was shopping for a new blender when I ran across this kit. The gear on the old blender base was showing wear and losing grip but the motor was working fine.
