I did not use the blender till after a month of receiving and was too late to return. It IS NOISY and does not work for making my smoothie drinks. So far I love it! Only concern the base is plastic. I really like the blender, but for some reason it tend to occasionally unscrew the bottom just enough to let liquid leak out. If I tighten the bottom more it breaks. A little loud, but a great blender.
