However, I have found that in general glass is significantly more durable, easier to clean, and doesn't stain.
Blending- The blender has 12 speeds, but I didn't find a significant difference between the different speeds, and all of them were quite loud. Blending frozen fruit and large chunks of fresh banana and peaches took significantly longer and did a poorer job in this blender than in my Oster BPCT02-BA0-000 6-Cup Glass Jar 2-Speed Toggle Beehive Blender, Brushed Stainless.The blender doesn't have a large footprint on the counter, and otherwise seems generally well made.Overall, I'm not particularly happy with this blender, and would recommend looking for another. I made a variety of different kinds of shakes featuring hard and soft fruits and it worked well with both. It's small enough to store inside my locked closet, it is sufficient for what I need it for (mild chopping or semi-blending of canned veggies, and/or an occasional smoothie), is... If you know your kitchen appliances, you will know that Oster is a longtime trusted brand for numerous appliances. It's a good blender, nothing fancy about it but the construction is durable and I get the feeling it will last a long time.
