I must say that I am impressed with all aspects of this blender so far. I had to replace my 35 year old Oster Kitchen Centre so I've been using this product for a week now. It smells and doesn't blend my drinks as quickly or as smoothly as my old one. Bought this when my old Osterizer packed it in after 20 years, and since I use my blender every day chose this one based on reviews. BIGGER than I had imagined and I call it my Harley Davidson. I like the large size of the jar, ease of removing the lid and it does a great job of blitzing the kale, the toughest of the greens I use. Pretty much as noisy as my old one so I keep a pair of woodworking ear-muff protectors on top of the fridge and pop those on when I'm blending. Researched blenders a bit - i know vitamix and blendtec are the best but for making healthy shakes daily found it high priced. waited until this one was on special - same power size as the top rated ones... figured i'd give it a shot. so far so good except for the metal part that spins came loose and i had to rescrew it back into place!

Other than that it blends very well. it was a bit big on the counter but you get used to it.... also it is noisy but you're really only blending 45 sec to 1 min anyway... overall happy.Easy to use, durable. I am not sure if this is just due to it being new, or if the motor is wimpy? Love the price, love the product. I have been using this product for a week and so far I am happy with my purchase. I use it to make my fruits and vege smoothie. Now I can make more than one serving at a time. It is durable and I look forward in using it to make more delicious food. Good blender for the price This blender does a great job and comparable to a Vitamix which I already have. The take along bottle is also very good and no leaks. I think I submitted a review that mentioned it has 4 blades when it actually has 8. I bought this blender to make pureed baby food after my last 2 blenders died. My husband also makes smoothies every morning so we needed/wanted a really powerful blender and this one does not disappoint! This blender easily purees meat which our previous one didn't do well, and this one also easily makes smoothies, with frozen fruit, in seconds. The price is a bit more than the average blender (also a lot more power than the average blender) but is cheaper than the higher end blenders out there, but works, in my opinion, just as well as the high end ones.
