So far, I have been using mainly fruit blended with yogurt, raw bran, flax seed meal, and various juices--and a little ice-- in a variety of combinations. So far, a couple of pulses on the pulse button have been enough to produce a very delicious drinkable beverage. I have used the short blend button procedure once and it almost seemed like over kill. I will keep up adding unusual things--such as kale and veggies and see how that goes. But, for me, and based on my use so far, I anticipate that this device will do the trick just fine. I saw a YouTube review commenting on the machine moving around the counter when it is on.

You need to think about that if you are sick or weak in any way. If for what ever reason I only want the juice with no pulp then I can just strain it. It is small and does not take up much space which is awesome because I use it every day and it sits on the counter all the time. Do it right the first time, spend a little more and you will not be sorry. As long as you don't over fill it, it will turn anything to a fine puree quickly. It is VERY loud, but it takes power to chop it all up, so it was expected. Cleanup is easy and fast. If you like smoothies, this is the perfect tool! As far as the build quality, the cups are a very strong plastic, including the lids, so I expect them to last a long time. The base unit is strong and seems very sturdy, the blade lid is easy to put on and off and rinses clean easily. As stated the motor is loud, but the unit is veryeasy to operate.
