I also bought a cute and the cutest at Ann Taylor Loft, some hair clips for Miss Gidget who got a MUCH needed haircut last night, a sewing pattern for aprons, and a pink and green Hello Kitty pillowcase for myself, cuz I'm a nerd. The shoes are awesome because not only were they inexpensive, they have rubber soles so I won't have to worry about slipping in the kitchen at work! Oh, and I got a new tube of mascara. I also made myself a new banner. Actually, I made two, but my husband said the first one looked too "halloween-y" so I guess I'll save that for another time. I don't know how long the old one was up, but I'm thinking it's been a while. We'll see how long it takes me to move on to the next thing.Labels: about me, Bubba, shopping Labels: about me, Bubba, photos, shopping Labels: about me, cooking, photos Labels: about me, Bubba, cooking, photos Anywho, I have my first pg progress photo. So I waited until 10 1/2 weeks. I'm a bit slow. I'll just do them 5 weeks apart or something.
Heck, I'll do them when/if I remember, who am I kidding? I'm a forgetful spaz these days.I weighed myself yesterday, and I've gained 5.5 lbs so far. If I look back to what I weighed when I conceived though, I'm only up 2 overall. I was 187.5 then (stupid holidays and all that food!), and over the next few weeks I got down to 184 (yes, I'm a fat ass, I've dealt with it) and now I'm up to 189.5. It feels like more.I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that for the first time in my life, I'm going to get to watch the scale go over the 200 lb mark with just me on it. That really freaks me out. I know I have a good reason, but when I think about how I just kinda let myself go over the last few years, it's not really. Everyone keeps telling me it will come off after the baby gets here, but if that were true, then why are there so many women struggling to get to their pre-baby weights?Labels: about me, Bubba, diet, photos Labels: about me, Bubba Labels: about me, photos Labels: about me, Bubba, cupcakes, photos, shopping

Seriously, I was tired to the point where I was whiny. My husband dropped me off so he could help me carry all my stuff in. It's amazing how much stuff you end up needing to schlep back and forth for this class!I ended up using my buttercream recipe for the blue base frosting, since we had to do that part at home and the instructor couldn't see it in it's untinted state, and the Wilton recipe for the decorations. I was a big old dummy though and beat my icing with the whisk instead of the paddle, and on too high of a speed so it got full of air bubbles. You can see under the rainbow (ha!) some of the bubbles. It also wouldn't smooth as nice as I would have liked for the same reason. Next week, we get to bring cupcakes. Labels: about me, Bubba, cooking, photos
