healthmate blender vs magic bullet

Age 18-24 25-34 35-44 45-54 55-64 65 and older Gender Male Female Had rec'd a fancy $100+ cup blender, but lost the base during a remodeling. My wife and I have become quite addicted to the Starbucks Carmel Frappuccino, and wanted something easier than dragging out the Cuisinart food processor blender. When I spotted this for less than $9, my expectation was a unit that would work for a while but not perform well on the tougher blending tasks: happily I was very mistaken. The Walmart Rival Personal Blender; blends as well as the fancy TV brand, at a price about 1/10th of the fancy unit. Tested it out: touch of milk, Carmel, coffee, pinch of salt and crushed ice.....in the blender for 20 seconds, than in a glass, whipped cream and bit more Carmel..Starbucks taste for a fraction. I'd recommend this unit as is, and especially if you have the cups and accessories for the equivalent unit sold on TV . One caution outlined in the manual: do not attempt to crush ice by itself, there should be some liquid in the cup as well.

I started with a quick mix of cubes and crushed from my ice maker. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () Here is the story with three other cheap personal blenders. The first was the Hamilton Beach, it blended well but was not designed to run continuously. It worked for two months and the motor burnt out. It was not under heavy load. The second was Walmart's Farberware $17.88 machine. I make milk shakes and I felt it blended poorly leaving the ice cream in the milk slushy. The third was the Oster for $25. It not only did a poor job, the narrow cup was difficult to use and drink from. Finally I tried the $9 Rival. It blended very well and has a good cup, unlike the Hamilton Beach, wont leak when sealed. I even made a smoothy with dates among other ingredients, which pureed very well. The HB was rated a 175 watts and had no ON switch which let it run by itself. The Rival at 220 watts works by twisting the cup in the motor which turns it on and it can be left for two or three minutes to do its work.

Hopefully it will not burn out. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () I got one of these for myself, and gave it to my daughter, who needed it more for smoothies. I have used this for things like pulverizing nuts to make walnut milk, smoothies, and milkshakes. Not a problem with any of it. I enjoy the small size, the power of the motor, the travel lid, and the simplicity of the design, just twist to run.

But I took it out of the package and used it, for the very first time.. And I have to say, this is the best 10$ I've ever spent. I can't believe how perfect it is! I would 100% recommend this. kitchenaid blender model ksb3wh3There's no possible way it could actually be good, right?
oster 12 speed blender model 6889I read some reviews, figured I had nothing to lose and bought it. All the reviews are true. This thing is magic. Frozen fruit blends so easily, not a single lump in my smoothies.

Don't waste your money on the other more expensive options. Buy this quick, fast and in a hurry. Buy one for your friend too. Yes (5) No (0) Report Yes (5) No (0) Over the past several years I've gone through 2 Magic Bullets, 2 Hamilton Beach blenders, and various knock offs. I am a daily blender user, so I need something durable and long lasting. So when my last Magic Bullet bit the dust, I was desperate for something asap that was fairly priced. I was skeptical about this little $8.74 blender, but it was simple, cheap, and has some pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I am so glad I did. I have had this little guy for about a month now and it's wonderful! The motor and blades are impressively strong . I blend lots of ice with my drinks each day and it all blends perfectly. I highly recommend this blender to anyone looking for something small, simple, and durable. Yes (1) No (0) Report Yes (1) No (0) Verified purchaser I thought this was a very good deal. The blender cover twist on and then when you put it in the blender, and it locks in place. That way you don't have to worry about the lid coming loose. It only takes a few seconds to blend fruit, milk and ice. I only use it for blending smoothies and it works great. It is a keeper Yes (6) No (0) Report Yes (6) No (0) Verified purchaser I was expecting this to be just another mediocre product but I had a magic bullet before it works just as good or better I just wish it would have come with one more cup .
