The one I had as a kid was hardy as heck; we used it for years. We had a Ronco pasta maker for over 15 years until it died. It was great so when we bought this new version last year, we thought we were getting the same quality. I was very disappointed in how it worked and I thought it was not made well for the price I paid. The dough would not come out completely and it is very difficult to get it out. DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSE TO DO I bought this pasta maker at Bed Bath & Beyond, made pasta twice and packed it up and took it back! It made the pasta fine; but when I cooked it, it turned to MUSH! All die holes too small. Mixer only picks up and extrudes about half the dough.
