This blender is one of the best bargains out there. Crushes ice, frozen fruit, frozen kale/spinach into a smooth and delicious drink. Nice blender, I have had it for a few month now. It will not do the work of a food processor, but it does a good job of blending smoothies. Not good for blending seeds or small dry items. They drop below the blades. Otherwise very good, blends fast and smooth. I've had this blender for almost a year and it does a decent job of blending, but does a mediocre job of crushing ice when making smoothies. I like it BUT ... after a week it broke! The blue plastic thingie that attached to the base which the glass top sits on came off while mixing a shake!CRUSHES MY TOMATOES FOR SAUCE AS WELL AS CRUSHES ICE FOR SMOOTHIES. I bought this item specifically to make smoothies with, and it does a TERRIBLE job.
