I love the soft scrape beaters though. wish it were a better product and I would order again just for the beaters.

I make a lot of homemade foods for a large family, so need to have appliances that are efficient and can endure frequent use. The lowest setting is a bit strong, but if you want anything lower than what it offers, just mix by hand! With that in mind, I have had to use a mixing bowl slightly deeper than I have had to before. But a small tradeoff for quick work. I also love the clip-on self storage for the various beaters. The coating on the beaters does soften the noise a bit, but it's still loud. Unless you have a VERY deep bowl, at least 7 inches, plan to have your kitchen a mess when you are through. A standard mixing bowl won't do the trick. It splatters cream all over you, your cabinets, the walls, absolutely everything. It does the same with cake batter. And furthermore, the "snap on storage case" is a joke. It doesn't fit the mixer.
