I wanted something simple and easy for them to use. (minus that the sticker around the top is coming off) its durable. The only downside to this is, you have to do more than just "sit it on its handles". It will not break up the icecream well, due to the very small plastic like blade. We learned to work with what we had. So now when we make milkshakes, we hold the cup and shake it side to side (while keeping a washcloth around the cup from our fingers getting frozen stuck on it!) just enough to get the blade to cut down the ice cream ...it doesn't takes much time..
