Hamilton Beach's drink mixers began appearing at soda fountains in 1911; this 14-1/2-inch-high, 70-watt model, in creamy green, recalls Elvis's first decade. But it's 21st-century, too, blending fruit smoothies and health drinks as well as milk shakes and malted milks. Also use it to mix puddings and beat eggs for omelets. Two speeds offer mixing flexibility, and the tilting head makes it easy to remove the spindle for cleaning. Its professional-style, stainless-steel cup holds 28 ounces and is dishwasher-safe. 7 x 5 x 14.5 inches 4.9 pounds (View shipping rates and policies) #5,566 in Home & Kitchen (See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen) #33 in Kitchen & Dining > Small Appliances > Blenders > Countertop Blenders 5 star54%4 star16%3 star9%2 star6%1 star15%See all verified purchase reviewsTop Customer ReviewsGreat-and with super memories! It looks cool and we were excited to make milkshakes|Less than I expected... knew it was used but I expected one in good condition. This thing is a joke!| Great malt and shake maker, very high quality for the money, does smoothies too.|Wonderful for making shakes!|This milkshake mixer was perfect for my 50's themed wedding| See and discover other items: blenders for shakes, countertop ice cream maker, electric mixer, food hand blender, drink blenders, best small blender for smoothies Age 18-24 25-34 35-44 45-54 55-64 65 and older Gender Male Female Verified purchaser I got this for me and the kids to make milkshakes in. I wanted something simple and easy for them to use. (minus that the sticker around the top is coming off) its durable. The only downside to this is, you have to do more than just "sit it on its handles". It will not break up the icecream well, due to the very small plastic like blade. We learned to work with what we had. So now when we make milkshakes, we hold the cup and shake it side to side (while keeping a washcloth around the cup from our fingers getting frozen stuck on it!) just enough to get the blade to cut down the ice cream ...it doesn't takes much time..

then you can leave it on its handle and add in your candies, nuts, ect. oh and don't fill it too high, it may splash ;) I would say this product is worth more like 20 bucks rather than 30, IMO ! But so far I can NOT find anything cheaper or anything that works better than this...and trust me, ive done my homework :) Yes () No (5) Report Yes () No (5) Verified purchaser We purchased it to make an occassional malt or two at a time. It works well for that purpose. It is not very heavy duty so I don't know how long it will last, but the price was reasonable compared to others we had looked at. I would recommened it to those who enjoy having an old fashioned malt. Yes () No (5) Report Yes () No (5) Verified purchaser I should have spent the extra money for the next one up the price range. Yes (2) No (0) Report Yes (2) No (0) Verified purchaser Places just don't make decent milk shakes anymore, IMHO. This allows me and my family the ability to experience milk shakes the way they should be. I can make the retro shakes, and kids can default to chocolate ice cream shakes. The only thing I didn't expect was the pedestal to be make of plastic... I should have, but in a way I was hoping it would be metal. Hence the 4 star rating, other than that it's a great appliance which is easy to clean Verified purchaser Verified purchaser Too little power to make a milkshake unless you start with soft ice cream.
