This is the best HamiltonBeach makes...I have been having smoothies all the time. The blender has no trouble grinding up frozen :fruit ,yogurt or ice .Great for smoothies, frozen drinks, pureeing, etc. Wife wants to try it for Yorkshire pudding batter. I love the big wide opening and the smooth buttons. It makes cleaning easy. I don't mind that it doesn't have lots of variable speeds and it blends whatever I'm making so well... I couldn't even get an unlumpy banana and milk shake. Total waste of money, I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. This blender is well made, easy to use and clean and does a good job. I am very pleased with it. So much for choosing a 'healthier' glass pitcher; did not count on such strong smell I definitely do not want in my food. This blender is okay for blending fruit, vegetables etc but if you are interested in making smoothies with ice this isn't the best choice.

He raves about it as working extremely well and easy to care for.Blends everything the right way and smooth! I've been using this blender for 6 months now. It's held up well and is performing the same as when I got it. It's basic, but it does its job. This product does not blend fozen items i.e frozen fruit nor ice .... it barely blended a room temp banana. I loved this blender when I first got it.
But then I made the mistake of washing it well, and placed the glass part in the dishwasher. It takes long time to heat first time but reheated is much quicker. Bought this for my college daughter. When we took it out of the box and plugged it in (with water in it). The kettle simply did not work. Our family uses an electric kettle every day. Me for my coffee press and hubby is an instant coffee and tea drinker. I thought this would be a workhorse for us. I received this kettle as a gift three years ago. While it does the job of heating water and it does so at a decent speed, there are some significant downsides and I would not... this time of year tea, hot chocolate, and instant soups are just part of the cold season regimine. This electric tea kettle saves me so much time. Use extreme caution when ordering from Today's Concept....wish I checked the non-Amazon reviews.
