Apparently all their blenders use the same size gasket and it makes it so much easier when it comes time to get a new one. Gaskets are needed for an older mixer/blender and these work well

The Wave-Action system is designed to continuously keep the mixture down towards the blades to make the mixture smooth. The shape of the 40-ounce, dishwasher safe, glass jar helps the overall Wave-Action system with it's design. The blender proves to be powerful, with it's 10 different speeds, however the stainless steel blades are said to be powerful enough for ice crushing, which they are not. In fact, this blender has a lot of trouble crushing many different frozen items, like fruits and vegetables, as well as ice. However, the blender does prove to do a suitable job for blending non-frozen ingredients, as well as pureeing.
There are a couple other downfalls to this Hamilton Beach WaveMaker blender unfortunately. One is that the blender is a bit heavy, weighing approximately 8.2 pounds (and measuring approximately 11.3" by 8.3" by 13.5"), which may prove to be difficult to lift for many users. Another con is that this Hamilton Beach WaveMaker blender can be very loud, especially when chopping ice and other frozen ingredients, which is certainly quite annoying if you will be using the blender rather often. All in all, this $34.99 Hamilton Beach WaveMaker blender, proves to have some great features, such as the Wave-Action system and 10 different speed settings, yet it only proves to be good for pureeing foods or making smoothies and not for chopping ice and frozen foods, which many people use blenders for, of course.
