Just need to make pieces smaller. Would be nice if it had interchangeable blades.1 tall and 1 short. Overall tho a great blender. Ninja 1000 watt Professional Blender Good at turning ice cubes into snow for snow cones. Poor at blending blackberries leaving all the seeds whole in smoothies. Need a more expensive Blendtec or Glantop Blender that runs at 40,000+rpm to liquefy blackberry seeds.

Blends up a storm, for excellent smoothies. I bought this because of a review in a consumer magazine, which rated it nearly as high as the much more expensive Vitamix and Cuisinart. It's a great improvement on the 50-year old Sunbeam I inherited, producing smoothies very quickly. The cost was one sixth of the Vitamix, and so far it's worked quite well. Come back in a few years and I'll be able to say something about reliability. The thing is a super blender BUT the safety mechanism that is built in has to be defeated for it to operate at all. The lid has a pin that has to properly depress a plunger that is supposed to operate a switch that enables the motor to run. It almost never works. I have to defeat this safety feature 99% of the time. I have two of them with multiple lids. No combination yields satisfactory results. I love making protein shakes with kale and different kinds of fruit. The Ninja lets me make enough for two people at a time. It blends everything perfectly and quickly.
