The motor become intermittent (as mentioned on other reviews here) with an electrical fault, the item is then... It looked nice, but it broke after 6 months. Even before it broke, it never blended as well as my last hand blender with a similar power rating. Solid, well designed piece of kit. As a proffestional chef I can say that this stands up to abuse. So there are two things you can do. Good but preferred my Braun. The stick blend is amazing. I got this for blending base gravy in the pot for BIR cooking, to save doing it bit by bit in the Super-G, and it is absolutely superb. Didn't think I would notice much difference from my old 500W model but I did, which was a pleasant surprise. Hope it lasts as long as my old one.
