My husband and our 3 teenage daughters had the best time here at the condo in Makena. We are sad to go home. It was so beautiful, peaceful and serene here. We saw a few whales from the lanai and enjoyed the wonderful beaches of Makena. We would absolutely do this same vacation again and again. This condo had everything we needed and more. The layout was great for those that wanted to sleep in -and great for those that didn't! Can't Beat the Property or Unit This is a terrific unit with three bedrooms, all with on suite bathrooms. Everything was well-maintained and fully functioning. Some basic upgrades (solid countertops, modern washer/dryer) made the unit that much more comfortable. The unit was very well stocked and appointed. We stayed there as three generations: grandma, mom and dad, and two small children (ages 2 and 4). Great communication with owner and caretaker. Great staff at condo office, and friendly landscapers around the property. The unit overlooks Turtle Town, a great place to snorkel or even just spot turtles from the lanai (also a prime spot for watching the sun set).

The swimming beach is a very short walk within the property. The pool is steps away (but nicely protected from sound by beautifully maintained vegetation). The whole property is nicely kept, including an herb garden. The unit is soundproofed from neighbors and construction, making for a peaceful and quiet vacation spot. Great location on Maui with Makena State Park and amenities of Wailea within 5-10 minutes in either direction of the condo. This place is as amazing as it looks! This condo was perfect. We spent a week there (June 2016) with six people - two adults and four of our kids (teenagers/young adults). It was absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. The lanais are great...we had many meals there, and also enjoyed eating out at a variety of places in Makena and Kehei. The condo had so many amenities, which the owner generously shares with the guests (ranging from boogie boards and beach chairs to condiments in the fridge). We enjoyed falling asleep on the lanai under the stars a couple of times.

You can easily walk to the beaches. They are nice, and varied. The owner was great to work with and very professional. Regarding the construction on the property, we did not have any issues whatsoever. A Fabulous Place to Stay on one of Maui's Best Beaches This beautiful condo was ideal for our multi-generational family ages 2- 71. Everything needed for the beach was included: chairs, towels, toys, boogie boards. oster blstvb-000-000 versa powerful performance blender blackMost of our beach time was spent at the nearby little cove beach (Chang’s) where the children enjoyed the tide pools and sand while adults snorkeled among the green sea turtles and a variety of fish. russell hobbs blender cijenaThis beach and the larger one nearby, offered moderate surf for boogie boarding. There were interesting routes for walking and running. The property is clean and very well maintained with lovely gardens. The well equipped kitchen, with a view of the ocean, made meal prep easy and enjoyable.

It even came with a rice cooker, slow cooker, waffle iron and many condiments. We made good use of the nice bar-b-que, dining table and comfortable chairs on the lanai. The high chair was perfect for the 2 year old. We appreciated the excellent guide books about Maui and reference books on Hawaii fish and other wildlife. This very comfortable condo is tastefully furnished and decorated. We all had a wonderful vacation and hope to return. We can't imagine a better place to just sit outside and enjoy Hawaii -- crashing waves, whales spouting, and beautiful sunsets! It was hard to ever leave the condo! The kitchen was well equipped, including a private BBQ. We can't wait to go back! This is undoubtedly one of the finest experiences one could have on Maui. This property is situated in the most strategic location, encompassing a view that most people only get to experience in magazines and travel brochures. Extremely comfortable, quiet and equipped like home. (French press and a coffee grinder . . .

This is a perfect getaway for couples or a family, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Everyone has plenty of privacy and room to spread out. Even the lanais (yes, 2 lanais!) have amazing outdoor furniture for quiet relaxation and group gatherings for watching turtles and whales in the sea below. This is a third floor penthouse. No folks tromping around above you, just the sound of the surf, trade winds gently blowing and birds singing in this paradise. This may sound like a commercial, but everything here is amazing! One very important piece to consider when renting a VRBO is the cleanliness and the support you receive from the owner. This condo is neat and clean, well organized with the perfect layout. The vast majority of condos have bedrooms in the rear, seldom can you find a condo with a bedroom with an ocean view. This home has 2 bedrooms with amazing views that open onto the lanais. There is nothing like being lulled to sleep by the rhythmic, hypnotic sound of the surf. With ceiling fans and light trade winds we never turned on the air conditioning.

Together we made up a pretty fastidious group, each noticing how clean this home is. Susan, the owner, was there for us every step of the way. She graciously answered all of our questions, explained everything so well we didn't have any issues or glitches. (Well, we did forget to bring the gate opener that she previously sent and we were taken care of by a delightful woman, Irene.) She oversees the property was extremely kind and thoughtful. Irene walked us through the home upon our arrival, once again adding to the charm knowing in the first minute of entering that we had made the correct decision. You will notice in the pictures many dive boats and kayaks. People from all over Maui take these tours as the most amazing snorkeling and turtle watching is right in from of this house! It was an easy walk to the small beach where we snorkeled every morning before the boats would arrive. What an incredible way to begin the day! Susan and Irene, Mahalo nui loa.
