If this blender has 600 watts, (true watts), I'd be amazed. I mention this because I have had 5-600 watt blenders before, and there were much more powerful than this one. I blend a protein drink every morning w/ milk, powder, frozen bananas, frozen blueberries, and frozen strawberries. I like to make it THICK like a milkshake. No runny drinks for me! But this blender just can't handle it! It has a 'safety' cutoff mechanism, which is a good idea, I guess, to protect the motor from burnout. Only problem is that it shuts off after only about 10 seconds on high speed! At first I was baffled when all the lights started flashing, so I checked the manual and found out about the switch.

It said to unplug it and wait 15 mins!!! I am usually running late for work and don't have 15 mins. to wait for this thing to decide it wants to run again! I never should have sold my Blendtec.....
