It gets used most every day for making smoothies. A couple weeks ago the based unit burned up while I was gone. I ordered this two years back worked great for year or so then motor is working but blade is not turning on if I knew this would happen like this would never bought this bad... Worked on and off for 3 years then quit turning on. Called Cuisinart's Customer Service and they could only offer 20% off if I purchased another one from them which is marked up... I like it when it does not stop working, bought 2 already did not last very long, will not buy a third one and why is this machine so expensive now, bought them at best Buy a... I would 0 starts if it was possible!!! We purchased or 2nd device after the first one motor had burn out without apparent reason.

First surprise was that all the instructions and recipe books are in Japanese, then we found that the knobs themselves on the machine are all in Japanese. This is very irritating.
