Both Blendtec and Vitamix offer a number of different designs but there are several important points of comparison. While exact sizes vary, Blendtec blenders tend to be a little more compact that Vitamix blenders, standing about 15 inches tall compared to about 20 inches. In terms of speed and power, the basic line of Vitamix blenders draws about 11.5 amps or 1380 watts of power while the Blendtec draws 13 amps or 1560 watts.
