This blender is not compatible with 220v. If you use a converter, it will void the warranty. It can overheat if used under a very heavy load for a sustained period of time. What is the difference between the Blendtec® Professional Series™ Blender and the Blendtec® Total Blender?  Are the motors the same?  Is one better for making ice-cream, soups and smoothies than the other?  I don't know which one to buy... Both of these blenders are discontinued products.
