We like the varied cycle for frozen drinks. It is loud, but that comes with the 3 HP motor I guess! This Blendtec is so wonderful, and powerful, that it breezes through tough greens, even thistles, like a champ! It will blend just about anything. I left a spoon in it once. It didn't blend it, but it took a number of chunks out of the spoon and bent it before I could get it turned off.I love how I can load up the 96 oz carafe and it will blend it up into a smooth drink. No need for a plunger like the vitamix has. The quick-guide helps with layering the ingredients in the right order to keep ingredients blending rather than getting stuck. awesome power and blends things perfectly. Super easy to clean. Now I just need to work on my recipes. Do not spend the money buy a Ninja, but the Wildside container blades are very stiff to turn. Blindtec replaced it with not charge. Now I am having to return the Base. I did extensive research between the Blendtec and other brands of blenders - cheap and expensive.
