I tried doing green smoothies and they always ended up chunky and disgusting. When I had a birthday coupon and HSN Kash credit, I decided to take the plunge and buy this blender.
Am I ever glad I did!! It makes the best shakes and smoothies - even green smoothies come out cold, smooth and delicious. I also made salsa in mine and it was done in 3 or 4 pulses without much pre chopping at all! It is loud (the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars), but I can handle the noise to get the results I have gotten so far. If I figure I use it every day at least once, it pays for itself very quickly in my opinion. And the color looks great in my red and aqua kitchen, so I don't have to worry about hiding it under the counter where it won't get used as much. Thank you for a great product, the birthday coupon and the spendable HSN Kash as well as the flex pay option. Without that I couldn't have gott Didn't like it The Blendtec is too loud I have a Vitamix but have heard so much about Blendtec. I watched videos over and over, however this blender did not work for me. I had to put tons of water in order for my smoothie to complete the cycle. Without tons of water, it would just be the motor going on and on.
