I make smoothies at least 5-6 days a week. I know that there are other blenders that are made especially for smoothies though they are out of my price range at the moment. I picked it up since our other one stopped working. Loved the light weight jar (I have young kids) and if they get it and drop it won't break. When I used the buttons you have to hold the on button down to mix or blend anything that is inside you can't walk away a minute. The numbers are alright once you get used to the blender but if your in a hurry you can't just glance down and see 'mix' 'blend' 'puree' little inconvenience. Also the ice isn't crushed all the way for a smoothie still leaves big chunks in the drink though the blender says it 'crushed ice'.

The price was great which is another reason why I made the purchase. So disappointing in this blender, I am going to return it and get a different one that will work the way I expect it too.
