Loved the light weight jar (I have young kids) and if they get it and drop it won't break. When I used the buttons you have to hold the on button down to mix or blend anything that is inside you can't walk away a minute. The numbers are alright once you get used to the blender but if your in a hurry you can't just glance down and see 'mix' 'blend' 'puree' little inconvenience. Also the ice isn't crushed all the way for a smoothie still leaves big chunks in the drink though the blender says it 'crushed ice'. vitamix total nutrition center model vm0103The price was great which is another reason why I made the purchase. I used it probably 10 times with some fruits to make a smoothie. The first one turned out beautifully. When I set up the second one, a few seconds into mixing, the blender died...never to start again. Checked to make sure it was not my outlet or by breakers and plugged another appliance in to outlet. The other appliance worked. Not a good investment when it only worked less than three minutes (figures about $10 per minute cost to use after adding shipping and tax)!!!! Now I have to fight with the store this weekend to return this defective item and try to get my money back!!!!
